What to Expect
Originals and covers both welcome. Ten minutes on stage to share whatever you like, to an audience that's genuinely there to listen. Hosted by The Hill Brothers, open to all levels.
Staggeringly Good Brewery is a large room with plenty of seating and some of the best beers in town, all brewed in the same space where the performances take place.
Whether you're there to play or just for the hang, it's a great room.
Ten minutes to play 2 or 3 songs or jam with musicians of your choice on the night. You book a specific time in advance so you know exactly when you're on. House backline is provided — drum kit, bass amp, guitar amp and PA. Just bring your instrument.
A spotlight for acts ready to perform a fuller set in a gig format. You get a longer sound check and twenty minutes to play your songs and make a lasting impression. Applications are curated and selected by our team.
Apply NowA fun way to close the night, five musicians brought together to see where the music takes them. You won't know who you're playing with until you're up there, making it a great chance to connect with other musicians. Book one of five available spaces.

Entrance: The main entrance is behind Toolstation on Rodney Road.
Parking: Limited parking is available on site.
The night feels better when the room is full from the first song. Every performer deserves an audience, and meeting the other acts is one of the best parts of the night.
Try to be there for the start. If that's not possible, aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before your slot.
There's no formal check-in desk, but please find one of the team and let them know you've arrived. If we can't confirm you're in the building 15 minutes before your set, we'll offer your slot to someone else to keep the show flowing.
Music runs from 8pm to 10:30pm. The venue is open before the event starts, so feel free to arrive early.
Smooth changeovers and a great sounding room are what keep the night flowing. We have tuned the backline, drums and cymbals included, to suit the venue so every act sits balanced in the mix.
Please use the kit, including breakables, and the amps provided. It saves space, keeps things moving, and means you can travel light.

Please don't rearrange the kit or the backline without checking with the host first.
We support whatever helps you put on your best show. Backing tracks are welcome.
Connection: XLR or 1/4" jack only. We can't accept phonos or mini jacks.
Internet: There's no stable wi-fi at the venue. Download your files in advance and don't rely on streaming.

After booking, you'll receive a confirmation email with your slot details.
Walk-ins are welcome to watch, but slots can't be guaranteed on the night without a pre-booking.
If you need to cancel, use the cancellation link in your confirmation email. Please cancel as early as possible so your slot can be offered to someone else.
Repeat no-shows may be declined for future bookings.
You can book as many nights as you like, but you can only hold one active or future booking per weekly night at a time.
Photography and filming by the audience is permitted at this event. You are made aware of this at the point of booking.
